Just have to say I’ve put my flowers that I planted last week back outside on my patio. This is of course after bringing them into my kitchen and garage to protect them from the Frost warnings that often come to the St. Louis area.
When I went to the store on Monday, the clerk and I had gotten into a conversation about how everyone came to the store that day just like it was winter again.

No, it wasn’t as bad as the picture above, but you’ve seen the stores when a frost warning is on the news; pandemonium in the aisles of the “Piggly Wiggly”! Got me to thinking of how people are so attentive to the daily changes in the weather, but don’t seem to be as attentive to their hearts as well. Why is that?
No, I’m not talking about the blood pumping heart we all have, but the God conscious, God loving, communicative heart that we bring to Him. Hopefully this is done frequently and daily because when it is, there is no need for a frost warning to be given, but sometimes we forget.
Have you found yourself just going through the motions of the itinerary of your day without a thought for Him? Have you been emotionally hurt by someone’s insensitivity and haven’t dealt with it with God? Did you lose someone during the Covid pandemic and still feel the pain? Has His voice that speaks to you, “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Mark 9:23 NIV grown distant and faint?
You can ignite the fire in your heart again if it’s grown cold. Turn on some instrumental praise music and listen for His voice calling you to come near again. Sit by a warm campfire or chiminea and meditate on His goodness and faithfulness displayed across the timeline of your life. Get a picture of your lost loved one or clothing that still holds their scent near, remembering the joy they gave you. Awaken your heart by sitting and listening to the laughter of your children or grandchildren. Call a friend to sit with you and talk about the great things God has done for them while watching the soon to be here fireflies!
Yes, Spring is here in the seasons. Let it be here in your heart as well.
Great thoughts
